Ifesinachi Osude
Systems engineer by day, closet-cloud builder by night ๐ ๏ธ
๐ Hey, I’m Ifesi.
I’m a systems engineer who never really clocks out. By day I lead infrastructure and platform reliability for production systems people actually depend on. By night, there’s a server rack humming in my closet that I lovingly call a “homelab” โ my family calls it “the reason the electric bill went up.”
I’m the guy who, when he couldn’t find a rack cooling controller that did what he wanted, grabbed a Raspberry Pi, a soldering iron, and a weekend, and just built one. That’s kind of my whole personality: I learn by building, breaking, and fixing โ with real hardware and real consequences.
A few things about me:
- ๐งฑ I run a full private cloud โ OpenShift, Ceph, and self-hosted AI โ out of a closet, on hardware I hunted down on eBay
- ๐ค I host my own AI so my 2ย a.m. questions never leave the house
- ๐ง I’d almost always rather build the thing than buy the thing
- โ I’ve learned more from 2ย a.m. outages than from any exam
- ๐ I once watched an AI agent confidently undo three days of work in 90 seconds โ humbling, and a great story now
When I’m not tinkering, I’m writing about it โ the wins, the disasters, and everything in between. If you love this stuff too (or you’re hiring people who do), I’d genuinely love to connect.
Come say hi on the socials below ๐ ย ยทย or read how I rebuilt the whole thing ยป
