About
I’m Ifesinachi Osude — a systems engineering leader with 12+ years building and operating large-scale infrastructure across enterprise, telecommunications, cloud, virtualization, observability, automation, identity, security, and production operations.
I currently lead a systems engineering and platform-reliability function supporting nationwide production systems, where I’ve architected centralized observability for 1,000+ production systems, built automation frameworks in Go, Python, Ansible, Bash and PowerShell, and served as a senior escalation authority for high-priority incidents — coordinating engineering, network, security, vendor and executive stakeholders through triage, root-cause analysis and remediation.
How I actually learn: hands-on #
I don’t wait for a ticket to understand a system. I buy the hardware, run the cables, write the code, break it, and fix it. My homelab is the proof — a production-grade private cloud in a closet:
- Compute — Supermicro X10 servers: 72 cores / 144 threads, 768 GB DDR4 ECC, plus an NVIDIA A2 accelerator
- Platform — OpenShift on RHEL CoreOS, ArgoCD GitOps, Ceph/ODF storage
- Observability — VictoriaMetrics + Grafana across the whole fleet
- Private AI — a self-hosted LLM stack (vLLM, LiteLLM, OpenWebUI, Qdrant, CloudNativePG); not a single token leaves the house
- And when I couldn’t buy it, I built it — a Raspberry Pi Zero + Python cooling controller with temperature/humidity sensors and Prometheus metrics

Let’s talk #
I’m always glad to talk with teams running infrastructure that has to stay up — Kubernetes/OpenShift, Ceph, observability, private cloud, or AI platforms.
